Discover the Beauty of Golf in Hrubá Borša
About the Golf Course Area
Our golf course is designed to provide a unique experience for golfers of all skill levels. Combining natural beauty with strategic course design, every aspect of the course has been carefully created so that challenge and enjoyment grow with each round. In this section, you will learn more about our course – from individual holes and hazard layout to the specific features that make our course an exceptional place to play golf.
18-Hole Championship Course (Par 72)
The 18-hole championship course (par 72) in its current form has been open since August 10, 2014. Most of the course stretches across the typical flat landscape of southern Slovakia.
The fairways are beautifully shaped into interesting patterns, interspersed with bunkers and water hazards. The course gains its charm and character from a central floodplain woodland with mature mostly deciduous trees, into which eight holes are fully or partially integrated. Water is an equally important feature – up to half of the eighteen holes border ponds, and there is also an island green on hole No. 16.
The refined course design is complemented by a generous number of bright-sand bunkers. Some extend seamlessly into the ponds, creating a striking beach-like effect. Also noteworthy are the constructed waste bunkers (large sandy areas) on holes No. 3, 4, 15, and 17, evoking the atmosphere of North American deserts
Another distinctive feature of the course is the top-quality turf on the fairways. The same grass species is used as on the greens.
Playing HCP and the technical course parameters (slope and course rating) for each tee are available in the main menu, in the final sections of the “Golf Course area".
9-Hole Academy Course (Par 28)
The 9-hole academy course, also referred to as the public course, has been open since 2013.
Play is enhanced by sand hazards as well as a water feature near holes No. 1, 2, and 3.
Course boundaries and penalty areas are clearly marked.
The course, with par 28 (56 for two rounds), is officially rated and consists of one par 4 hole and eight par 3 holes, with a total length of 971 metres from the yellow tees. It is suitable for hosting handicap-adjustment tournaments and is primarily intended for players with a handicap higher than 36.
At the same time, it serves very well as a short-game practice course for performance-oriented players.
Our national team representatives regularly train here – including holders of the National Golf League Team Championship title, the 2025 Slovak Stroke Play Champion, and others. You will also meet our young representatives in training, members of our Talent Development Centre.

Driving range
The covered driving range features 17 illuminated hitting bays with artificial mats, making it an excellent option in rainy weather. During the golf season, practice is also available from grass tees, with a capacity of 25 hitting bays. Players at GREEN RESORT can use the driving range even in the early morning hours, except on the service day – Wednesday.
The training facilities for players include:
- a 250 m long driving range
- an 800 m² putting green
- a 2,500 m² chipping green
- a practice sand bunker
Footgolf at the 9-hole academy
Footgolf at the 9-hole academy
In 2022, a footgolf course was officially opened in Hrubá Borša under the patronage of FootGolf Senec and FootGolf Slovakia.
The academy is available to footgolf players on selected days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and during tournaments.
